Bream Head to Cape Colville
Situation:
A low moves across the South Island today, spreading a front across the North Island. A moist northwest flow preceding the front gives way to cool southwesterlies. On Monday, the front over northern New Zealand moves away to the east, while a ridge of high pressure spreads across central New Zealand. A trough should move across the South Island late Monday and Tuesday morning, then weaken away before reaching the North Island later on Tuesday. On Wednesday, a new ridge spreads over the entire country, persisting through Thursday.
