Situation:
Today, A low pressure system and its associated fronts and troughs move east off the country, allowing a cold southwest flow to develop. Tomorrow, a ridge of high pressure moves east onto the North Island, while unsettles westerly flow continues for the South Island. On Monday, the ridge of high pressure over the North Island extends over the most of the country on, and then continuing into Tuesday. However, showery westerlies continue to affect the deep south. On Wednesday, a front descends onto the upper North Island, bringing moist northerly flow.
