Bream Head to Cape Colville
Situation:
A strong cold front pushes over the South Island on today, followed by a cold, southerly flow. The front weakens and stalls over the upper South Island tomorrow. Meanwhile a new ridge builds over the South Island from the south but weakens as a sub-tropical low approaches from the north. A sub-tropical low approaches from the north and is expected to bring a moist easterly flow over northern North Island on Wednesday. Meanwhile, a ridge over the South Island weakens. The northeast flow strengthens over the northern North Island and dominates many parts of the country on Thursday and Friday.
