An Armed Offenders Squad call out in Whakatane has ended with the arrest of a man.
Senior Sergeant Mark Vanderkley said police received reports of the man pointing a gun at a property on Golf Links Rd earlier today.
1XX's Dan Dalgety said the AOS, the Eagle helicopter and police
dogs were also involved in the search for the armed man.
It was not known why he was aiming at the property.
