Big day for Whanganui with the last day of club rugby. Premier Consolation was between Kaieru and Taihape at Spriggens Park then senior final between Marton and Hunterville at Cooks Garden. The main game was then Border vs Ruapehu Cooks Garden.

Graham Stewart traveled to Whanganui in September 1950 to capture the city's trams before they were decommissioned. He is donating mounted photos to the Wanganui Tramways Trust.
